Some Reason Why Your Facebook Account Locked

Facebook can be a great place to make new friends, but it's also a place where you can get locked out of your own account. This happens for a variety of reasons, but fortunately there are also different ways you can regain access to your account once it's been locked.

The first step is to understand why your account may have been locked in the first place. There are three main reasons:

You posted something that violated Facebook's terms of service, such as hate speech or nudity. To get back into your account, you'll have to provide proof of identification — usually a copy of either your passport or driver's license — and agree not to break any further rules.

You logged in from an unrecognized device or location. This is partly intended as a security measure so that people don't try logging in from multiple devices at once. If this happens to you, simply log out from all other devices and try logging back in from the original one again.

Someone else reported your account as being compromised by hackers or another person pretending to be you (also known as identity theft). In this case, Facebook will ask for proof that you're who you say you are by sending a photo of yourself holding up.
